A woman was arrested in connection with the crash that left a 2-year-old child dead and an adult hurt in San Francisco in February, according to police.

The police department said Friday 47-year-old Merih Fssha Solomon of Walnut Creek was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, red light violation and failure to yield to pedestrians after allegedly striking a 2-year-old and an adult. Police said the child died at the hospital.

Authorities report the crash happened in the area of 4th and Channel streets just before 9 p.m. The child was crossing the street with the adult at the time of the incident. The driver remained on the scene.

Weeks later, officials said investigators developed probable cause to arrest Solomon in connection with the crash.
