Things have gone completely south for the New York Jets this 2025 NFL season. Despite having a new head coach in Aaron Glenn, the product from the Jets has not been better than it was last season, in fact it is worse as they sit with an 0-7 record entering their Week 8 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
For the Jets it is clear they are going to be sellers at the upcoming 2025 NFL Trade Deadline. With this being the case, one name that has started to be mentioned as a player the Jets could end up looking to trade is Quinnen Williams.
If the Jets go on to make Quinnen Williams available for a trade, it is the San Francisco 49ers that make sense to trade for him.

New York Jets Trade Quinnen Williams to the San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers, despite dealing with numerous injuries on both sides of the ball, remain atop the NFC West with a winning record of 5-2. For the 49ers, this has been quite the accomplishment, and a well-needed turnaround from what they put on the field last season. Yet, for them to continue on this stretch of success, they must find a way to add talent to the team to refill the talent they lost.
This is especially true for the defensive side of the ball, as they lost Nick Bosa and Leonard Floyd to season-ending injuries. Between that, and their overall defensive tackle room needing improvement beyond Kalia Davis and Jordan Elliott, it makes Quinnen Williams the ideal trade target.
With Quinnen Williams, Robert Saleh already has experience coaching him, and knows Williams’ fit un his defense from Saleh’s tome as the head coach of the Jets. Williams is an impactful player with 285 pressures and 45 sacks over his career so far.
Quinnen Williams would be the ideal fit for the 49ers’ defense, and with him being just 27 years old, would help bring the youth infusion the 49ers need as well as overall talent to help right now.
