Sacramento State hosts ‘All the Smoke’ podcast spotlighting Hornets athletics
HEALTH PARK NEXT SATURDAY AGAINST EL PASO. LOCOMOTIVE. AND AMONG THE MANY GUESTS, BARNES FORMER KINGS TEAMMATE MIKE BIBBY, WHO IS NOW OF COURSE COACHING THE MEN’S TEAM AND OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST AND FORMER WORLD BOXING CHAMPION ANDRE WARD, WHO CO-HOSTED THE SHOW WITH BARNES. WARD NOW SERVES AS THE GENERAL MANAGER OF COMBAT USE SAC STATES COLLEGIATE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR WRESTLING, BOXING AND MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. Sacramento State University hosted the popular podcast “All the Smoke,” co-hosted by Sacramento native and former NBA star Matt Barnes, to shine a light on the Hornets athletic programs. Barnes brought his production crew to “The Nest” to tape a show dedicated to Sac State, featuring guests such as Barnes’ former Kings teammate Mike Bibby, who now coaches the Hornets men’s basketball team, and Olympic gold medalist and former world boxing champion Andre Ward, who co-hosted the show with Barnes.Ward now serves as the general manager of “Combat U,” Sac State’s collegiate training program for wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts.Matt Barnes said that Saturday’s recording of the “All the Smoke” podcast will be available for listeners everywhere in the next two or three weeks.See more in the video above.
