The Los Angeles Angels will have three more spring training games before they open up the regular season.
They will have their Opening Day game take place on March 26 when they visit the Houston Astros in Texas.
Like all teams, the Angels have been making roster moves to get ready for the season.
Dodgers Legend Released By Angels

On Saturday, the Angels announced that they had released Chris Taylor.
Angels PR wrote: “The #Angels have released RHP Hunter Strickland and INF/OF Chris Taylor.”

Taylor is coming off a season where he spent time with both the Los Angeles Dodgers (and Angels).
He finished the year batting .186 with two home runs, 12 RBI’s and 15 runs.
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic wrote (on March 20): “Chris Taylor opted out of his deal with the Angels and has been informed he will not make the club, source tells @TheAthletic.”

Taylor’s MLB Career

Taylor had spent the first two and a half seasons of his career with the Seattle Mariners.
He then played nearly a decade for the Dodgers, winning two World Series Championships.
In 2021, Taylor made the All-Star Game when he batted .254 with 20 home runs, 73 RBI’s, 92 runs (and 13 stolen bases).
Thomas Murray of The Sporting Tribune wrote (on March 20): “Chris Taylor who had a .798 OPS and .231 batting average this spring will not be on the Angels come opening day. The Angels informed him he wasn’t making the team.”

Angels And Dodgers Last Season

The Angels finished last season with a 72-90 record (and missed the MLB playoffs for the 11th straight year).
Meanwhile, the Dodgers won their second straight title.
