Spring training comes to a close in the next few days, but Monday will see a game between the Angels and Dodgers in Los Angeles.

The Angels and the Dodgers played on Sunday at Angel Stadium and the Angels fell in a 13-5 defeat. The loss was credited to George Klassen, who dropped to 1-2 in spring training play after giving up five earned runs in 2.1 innings of work, while striking out four. Jorge Soler opened the scoring with a solo shot to right center in the bottom of the second, but the Angels did not score again until bottom of the sixth when they were trailing 11-1. Soler struck again, this time with a three-run homer to left center. Oswald Peraza followed with an RBI groundout, but that’s where the team’s scoring stopped.

The Dodgers’ offense was firing on all cylinders on Sunday, powered by Teoscar Hernández, who went 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs. Also finishing the game with three RBIs was Shohei Ohtani, who hit a three-run double in the third. James Tibbs and Hernández each hit home runs in the win for the Dodgers, showing the hitting strength that managers are working with this season. Tyler Glasnow improved to 2-0 with an impressive five-inning start in which he struck out 11 batters.
