BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Children in Bakersfield will have a chance to get an early start on Easter fun on Friday, March 27, when the city hosts its annual “Eggstravaganza” at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
The free event is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m., with egg hunting set to begin at 3 p.m. Organizers say children can enjoy Easter activities throughout the afternoon, including interacting with the Easter Bunny.
The city is also asking residents to share their thoughts and ideas about the revisioning of MLK Park. The city said it is looking to secure grant funding for the project and wants input on what the community would like to see included as part of an aquatics facility.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park is located at 1000 South Owens Street.
