LOCATION: 400 Block of Don Seville Court
 

On March 20, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, the San José Police Department received multiple reports of a shooting inside a residence in the 400 block of Don Seville Court. While enroute, Officers learned the suspect had shot his wife inside the home.

Shortly after arriving on scene, Officers made contact with the suspect as he exited the residence and took him into custody without incident. Officers then conducted a protective sweep of the residence and located an adult female victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Officers immediately began life saving measures and requested emergency medical personnel to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

SJPD Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is actively investigating the incident.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the event are still under investigation.

The suspect was subsequently booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for homicide and will be identified at a later date. 

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.

This incident is being investigated as the City’s 7th homicide of 2026.
