(FOX40.COM) — A shotgun reported stolen from the Sacramento Police Department’s jurisdiction was recovered from a home in Northern California during a stolen-vehicle investigation.
California Highway Patrol officers served a search warrant in the 500 block of Ramsay Avenue in Gerber late last week, leading to the seizure of a stolen vehicle, multiple firearms and more than $42,000 in cash.
One of those guns was a Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, CHP Northern Division officers said in a news release, which was reported stolen from the Sacramento Police Department.
FOX40 reached out to the department for more information on the stolen shotgun.
Officers also recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun reported lost from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, “several” other firearms, five high-capacity magazines and eight additional magazines.
Officers also recovered $42,720 inside a metal ammunition can.
The Toyota Highlander was stolen from Florida and had its title altered.
The investigation remains ongoing.
