(FOX40.COM) — Two vehicles were allegedly involved in hitting a pedestrian Saturday morning, which resulted in the victim’s death, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Just after 5 a.m., officers received reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near Florin Road and 24th Street. Fire personnel responded and pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene.
Evidence showed SPD that two vehicles may have been involved in the accident. However, both vehicles left the scene before the police’s arrival.
Major Collision Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators have begun processing the scene, collecting evidence and have interviewed possible witnesses to the accident.
