Sacramento jurors convicted a man of nearly two dozen counts of child sexual abuse after his now-adult victim came forward to report years of abuse, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.

Bobbie Arthur Owen, 64, faces up to 39 years, four months in state prison after a Sacramento Superior Court jury on Monday convicted him of 22 counts, including lewd acts on a child, oral copulation and digital penetration with a foreign object.

Prosecutors said Owen’s sexual abuse of the victim began when she was 11 and continued into her teenage years, the district attorney’s office said. The victim, now an adult, was 32 when she reported the abuse to authorities, according to prosecutors.

Owen remains held without bail at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center near Elk Grove ahead of his sentencing scheduled for May 8 before Judge Deborah Lobre.

Owen has been in custody since his February 2025 arrest by the Citrus Heights Police Department, jail records show.
