BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The LSU Women’s Basketball team got a special Sweet 16 sendoff from fans.
They lined up at the PMAC on Tuesday, March 24, to wish the players well as they continue on their journey to another national championship.
The Lady Tigers advanced to the Sweet 16 in Sacramento after scoring a 101-47 win against Texas Tech in Baton Rouge. With the victory, the Tigers improved to 29-5 on the season.
LSU’s first contest in the Sweet 16 will be against Duke on Friday, March 27. It will be the second time the Lady Tigers have faced Duke this season. Tip off is set for 9 p.m. Fans can watch it on ESPN.
