THEY SAY RECORDED PEOPLE AT A SHORT-TERM VACATION RENTAL IN MADEIRA COUNTY. DEPUTIES EXECUTED A SEARCH WARRANT AT THE HOME ON GRANITE BUTTE WAY OUTSIDE OF OAKHURST FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL. THEY ACTED ON A TIP FROM THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN. DEPUTIES SAY THEY FOUND MORE THAN 4000 DIGITAL FILES WITH THOSE TYPES OF IMAGES, AND 44 YEAR OLD CHRISTIAN PARMELEE EDWARDS WAS ARRESTED AS A RESULT. Investigators in Madera County are concerned there may be more victims after a man was accused of recording people at his short-term vacation rental.Deputies executed a search warrant at the home of Christian Parmalee Edwards on Granite Butte Way outside of Oakhurst for child sexual abuse material, acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Deputies said they found more than 4,000 digital files with those types of images.Edwards, 44, was arrested. Detectives say they found evidence he may have been recording people who rented the home without their knowledge. Investigators in Madera County are concerned there may be more victims after a man was accused of recording people at his short-term vacation rental.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the home of Christian Parmalee Edwards on Granite Butte Way outside of Oakhurst for child sexual abuse material, acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Deputies said they found more than 4,000 digital files with those types of images.
Edwards, 44, was arrested. Detectives say they found evidence he may have been recording people who rented the home without their knowledge.
