Five Bay Area restaurants joined the Michelin Guide on Wednesday, March 25, as the tire company announced 12 new additions total to its California selections.
Michelin inspectors singled out four San Francisco restaurants: British pub Dingles Public House; live-fire French restaurant La Cigale; Filipino fine dining restaurant Naides; and Wolfsbane, led by chef Rupert Blease. Menlo Park’s Yeobo, Darling, from chefs Meichih and Michael Kim, was also added to the guide.
These 12 restaurants join the Michelin Guide as “Recommended” and are highlighted within the guide as “New.” It’s worth noting that these restaurants aren’t starred — yet. The California Michelin Guide is regularly updated in the spring, in the lead-up to the ceremony in June, and the new additions are generally seen as frontrunners for either a Bib Gourmand or starred designation (although neither is guaranteed). A date for the 2026 California ceremony is yet to be announced.
