The Stonestown Galleria shopping mall in San Francisco was evacuated Wednesday due to police activity, the department said.
Officers responded to the mall at about 11:40 a.m. to investigate reports of a person making threats, police said.
Officers were working with the property manager to investigate the reported threats and conducting a search of the area, police said.
Aerial footage from NBC Bay Area SkyRanger showed several police cars parked outside an entrance to the mall.
Traffic in the area was being rerouted, police said.
