SACRAMENTO, Calif. – UC San Diego (8-10) dropped a narrow match on the road to Sacramento State (9-8), 2-4. The Tritons captured the doubles points with wins at No. 1 and 3 but could not top the Hornets in singles matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego clinched the doubles points with a win at No. 1, where Trevor Nguyen and Abhinav Chunduru finished with a tight set score of 7-6(5). Their first doubles win came at No. 3 with Oliver Worth and Yaron Guberman taking their court 6-3. Sacramento State captured a win at No. 2, 6-4.

In singles action, Guberman finished 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5 to secure the Tritons lone singles point.

At No. 1 singles, Worth went down in two sets, 6-1, 6-4. At No. 3 Nguyen battled back in the second set to force a third but ultimately dropped his court 2-6, 6-1, 1-6. At No. 6 David Adamson played a tough match, falling 3-5, 5-7. The Hornets clinched the match with a victory at No. 4, A. Chunduru took the first set 3-6 but fell in the next two, 1-6, 0-6. The match at No. 2 was left unfinished with P. Chunduru leading 6-4, 3-4.
