Los Angeles police are investigating a smash-and-grab incident at the Macy’s store at Westfield Mall in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday, authorities said.

Officers responded to a call of a possible shooting at the store located on the 14000 block of Riverside Drive around 7:10 p.m., but upon arrival, it was determined to be a break-in targeting watches, said the Los Angeles Police Department.

LAPD said broken glass from eight display cases was scattered in the store.

Only the affected area of the store was closed off.

 No injuries were reported.

Authorities said the suspects fled in a white Lexus. No description of the suspects was made available.

Officers remained on the scene to investigate.
