As seen on screen, this 124-acre California property outside of Los Angeles has listed for a cool $78 million.

The Wall Street Journal reports the Vietnamese-born billionaire Kieu Hoang, who earned his fortune in plasma-derived medicine products, is looking to part ways with Hummingbird Nest Ranch, which he purchased in 2015 for $33 million from the Metro Networks billionaire David I. Saperstein.

Those may not be household names, but these are: The Simi Valley property has been used as a filming location for buzzy shows, such as “The Bachelorette” and “The Biggest Loser.”

Hoang, who resides in nearby Westlake Village, reportedly purchased the ranch as a “trophy” home. Listing agent Byron Wood, of Sotheby’s International Realty, told the Journal “It could be used, sort of like a personal residence, maybe a place to have parties, something to show off, like a nice car.”

Hoang began renting it out for events and filming, such as Jenn Tran’s 2024 season of “The Bachelorette.” For that show’s backdrops, lovely amenities include tiled fountains, courtyards and arched entries. The property also has expansive lawns, olive groves and vineyards.

Hoang is selling to pursue work on renewable energy.

The property has an approximately 17,000-square-foot Spanish Colonial villa built around 2004, as well as a number of apartments and guesthouses. Among the latter is Sitting Bull Cottage, which dates back more than 100 years, and is one of the oldest homes in the area.

There are also equestrian amenities, including a 20,000-square-foot barn with heated stalls, three show rings and a polo field.

That said, a new owner could turn the ranch into a resort-style operation.
