Police faced off with a large disorderly crowd Saturday evening that may have been near the site of a special event.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that a fire marshal was dispatched to the First and Hill streets at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, where “a large crowd of individuals acting unorderly and causing possible property damage to a passenger service vehicle,” said LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.

One injured person was evaluated by paramedics, Middleton said. The patient’s gender, age and condition were not available.

KCAL showed officers working to gain control of the crowd and reported a Waymo self-driving car may have been damaged.

The disorderly conduct may have been related to a skate event that occurred in the area, a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center told City News Service.

The intersection was near Gloria Molina Grand Park and the Metro Grand Station.

Metro had issued an alert that bus service would be impacted in the area until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, indicating a planned event.
