One man was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at Dinuba and Zediker avenues, southeast of Parlier, about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A California Highway Patrol spokesperson said a Hyundai sedan traveling eastbound on Dinuba Avenue ran a stop sign. The Hyundai crashed into a Nissan pickup traveling southbound on Zedicker Avenue.

The force of the crash caused the vehicles to hit an Infiniti sedan stopped at the intersection.

The Hyundai ended up about 35 feet into a vineyard, and the driver died at the scene. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Nathan Lopez, 24, of Reedley.

The other two drivers were wearing seatbelts, and the CHP spokesperson didn’t share whether they were taken to the hospital.

Authorities suspect that alcohol impairment may have been involved. The investigation is ongoing.
