BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Easter is right around the corner and many organizations are hosting events for families large and small.

17 News has compiled a list of free and affordable Easter events going on in Bakersfield and around Kern County.

NOR Egg Hunt

North of the River is hosting its annual free egg hunt on March 28 and April 4.

The March 28 egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. at Riverview Community Park located at 401 Willow Dr.

The April 4 egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. at Emerald Cove Park located at 4303 Patton Way.

The event is for children ages 1 to 10. Photos with the easter bunny will also be available.

Fellowship Baptist Church Egg Hunt

Fellowship Baptist Church is hosting a free egg hunt on April 4 at 10 a.m. at 3001 Stine Road. The event will have crafts and games.

Victory Outreach Church Spring Fest

Victory Outreach Church will be hosting their Spring Fest April 4 at 912 Stine Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Their free event will feature an egg hunt, giveaway with cash, toys, gift cards, jumpers and games.

MLK Eggstravaganza

The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center is set to host its annual Eggstravaganza March 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1000 S. Owens St.

There will be games, prizes and a resource fair. This event is free to attend.

Egg Hunt in the Park

This egg hunt will take place at Stramler Park located at 4003 Chester Ave. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 4. The Easter bunny will be in attendance, plus participants can enjoy music and activities. There will be two egg hunts to participate in.

A sensory friendly and accessible hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m. and an all-kids hunt will begin at 1:30 p.m.

There will be craft and food vendors, according to organizers. Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed as there is minimal seating.

Bunnies and Badges

The Delano Police Department is hosting “Bunnies and Badges” at Delano City Hall starting at 10 a.m. April 4.

The event will run until 1 p.m. and the egg hunt will begin at 12 p.m. Guests will be able to chat with officers and participate in festive activities.

City Hall is located at 1015 11th Ave.

3G Activities Easter Egg Hunt

This free egg hunt will take place at MB2 Raceway located at 1251 Oak St. from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 4.

Organizers say there will be over 10,000 eggs at the hunt along with prizes, basket raffles and egg surprises. The first 50 children to attend will get a free Easter basket filled with goodies.

Tehachapi Egg Hunt

The annual Tehachapi egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. at West Park located at 490 West D St. April 4. There will be face painting, bounce houses and games.

This event is free.

Wasco’s “Spring it On”

This event will take place March 28 and begin at 10 a.m. at Wasco’s Little League field located at 1702 Poso Drive. Each age group will have a time to hunt eggs, according to organizers.
