Catholic Charities East Bay held a gala—its first in 15 years—in November to celebrate its 90th anniversary. Hosted by Oakland’s Cathedral of Christ the Light Event Center, the gathering saw more than 300 attendees for wine, dinner, an auction, and more. Mario Alioto and Dave Dravecky, formerly of the San Francisco Giants, were among the night’s speakers. Catholic Charities East Bay, based in Oakland with outposts in Concord and Richmond, has been assisting those in crisis from all faith backgrounds since the 1930s.
