On Tuesday, March 24, the City of Coronado and members of the community gathered at Star Park for the unveiling of the League of Wives Memorial Bench, a tribute to the extraordinary women of the League of Wives and the lasting impact they had on Coronado and the military families they supported. The brief ceremony included a short program highlighting the dedication and service of these remarkable women, followed by light refreshments for attendees. Community members were invited to participate in this simple but meaningful event, reflecting on the legacy of support and care that the League of Wives provided over the years. The City of Coronado hopes the memorial bench will serve as a lasting reminder of the League’s contributions to the community.
