Some of the most cherished, talked-about, and oft-visited Little Tokyo restaurants have been around for years, even decades, making them true Los Angeles dining classics.

Calling upon the eateries chicken teriyaki or shrimp tempura has long been an appetizing must-do for people calling upon the historic DTLA neighborhood, at any point of the calendar, but when Delicious Little Tokyo sprouts again in the springtime?

Those eateries are in the celebratory spotlight, thanks to tours that give Little Tokyo gems the love, and introduce future fans to classic Japanese fare.

Delicious Little Tokyo returns April 18, and tickets are available for both the Little Tokyo Hungry Society Walking Tour and the Little Tokyo Cravings Council Walking Tour.

Tastings will be featured on each tour, and the places featured? The Little Tokyo Hungry Society Walking Tour will visit Far Bar, Fugetsu-Do, and Kouraku while the Little Tokyo Cravings Council Walking Tour is featuring stops at Mr. Ramen, Oomasa, and Mitsuru Cafe.

Goodies you might snack upon, depending upon the tour you choose, include pork chahan at Kouraku and Mr. Ramen’s fried shrimp skewer.

Other effervescent offerings will pop up around the neighborhood, with booths gracing the plaza near the Metro station and two creative workshops, including one focused on Japanese gift-wrapping techniques, at Nellita’s Craft on 1st Street.

Be sure to buy your tour tickets early; advance sign-ups and ticket purchases for the crafting workshops are also a wise move.
