Police are searching for a gunman after an altercation between a smoke shop employee and customer broke out in South Los Angeles.
SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Police are searching for a gunman after an altercation between a smoke shop employee and customer broke out in South Los Angeles.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Friday near Manchester and Central avenues, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police say the 39-year-old victim, believed to be an employee of the business, and the suspect, who was looking to buy something from the store, were involved in a verbal altercation.
The suspect shot the employee and then took off in a getaway car. The employee was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
