The Venice restaurant introduces new menu items including steak frites with Indian spices and lamb dishes such as laal maas-style chops.

A new location of BADMAASH is set to open Friday on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, marking the latest expansion for the Los Angeles-based Indian restaurant group.

The restaurant, located at 1616 Abbot Kinney Blvd., is the third Los Angeles outpost for the brand, which was founded in 2013 by brothers Nakul and Arjun Mahendro. Previous locations opened in downtown Los Angeles and Fairfax.

The Venice restaurant introduces several new menu items alongside existing dishes, including steak frites with Indian spices, lamb dishes such as laal maas-style chops and lamb neck korma, and a range of seafood and vegetarian options. Traditional offerings like butter chicken and naan will also remain on the menu.

The location also marks the first time the brand has introduced a full cocktail program. The beverage menu is led by Steve LaFountain, whose previous work includes roles at Horses, and features a mix of classic cocktails and house variations.

The opening reflects a continued expansion for the brand, which has also hosted pop-up events outside Los Angeles in recent years.

The Venice space includes multiple dining areas and a bar, with design elements that incorporate a mix of contemporary and traditional influences. The restaurant will operate Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
