Millions of people across the United States took part in “No Kings” protests Saturday, including demonstrators in Fresno, voicing opposition to Trump administration policies and the ongoing war with Iran.

The nationwide protests were held one month after the start of the war. Among the criticisms raised by demonstrators was opposition to the administration’s actions involving Iran.

“We don’t know how big it’s going to get. I mean, it could turn into a World War III. There are so many countries that are against this right now. It’s scary,” said Marci Bruyere, a protester in Fresno.

Demonstrators in the Central Valley were among an estimated 9 million Americans who participated in the movement nationwide, according to national organizers.

President Trump, meanwhile, has maintained his position on Iran and what he described as progress being made in the Middle East.

“They are being decimated. They are talking. We are talking now. They want to make a deal. Very simply, our military is the greatest in the world by far. Iran is being decimated,” Trump told reporters in Miami on Friday.
