BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Expect delays after a semi-truck caught fire, causing the number four lane to be closed on northbound Interstate 5 at Grapevine Road on Monday afternoon.
The CHP’s website said on March 30, 2026, at around 2:58 p.m., there was a report of a semi-truck on fire on northbound Interstate 5 at the Grapevine Road.
The website said the trailer was on fire.
The number four lane is closed.
CHP Fort Tejon said it is estimated to reopen in about six hours while crews clean up.
Expect delays if planning to travel in the area.
