(FOX40.COM) — A suspect was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a short vehicle pursuit in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Officers were conducting a planned operation just before 1:45 p.m. in the 1900 block of Delta Shores Circle when they attempted to stop a suspect in a vehicle, police said.
Sacramento police said that the suspect fled, leading officers on a brief pursuit that ended when the vehicle crashed into a fence.

Police reported that the suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of a police K-9.
No additional details about the suspect or potential charges were immediately released.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured. The investigation remains ongoing.
