Police have identified the man killed Sunday evening outside a Starbucks near Highway 99 in Fresno.
Danilo Rodas, 30, was shot around 5:45 p.m. at the Starbucks parking lot at Shaw and Dale avenues, located near Highway 99, Fresno police Lt. Brian Valles said.
Rodas was shot once in his upper body and died at the scene.
Police believe Rodas was involved in a disturbance with at least one other person immediately before the shooting. Valles said there may have been more than one shooter, though that remains unclear.
Authorities believe it was an isolated incident and that Rodas knew his killer.
The Starbucks was open and busy at the time of the incident, Valles said. Detectives are seeking out additional witnesses.
