The Forum Carlsbad will put on its annual Spring Art & Wine Walk from 2 to 5 p.m. April 11 with live music, curated tastings, paintings, photography, mixed media and handcrafted works. Birds subject of lagoon talk

Master Chorale gives concert

Volunteers pack thousands of mealsSAN DIEGO: Volunteers pack 10,000 meals for community members in need…
Dozens of community members teamed up to pack more than 10,000 meals for The Outreach Program, a nonprofit that helps communities locally and globally. Roughly 75 volunteers from Unity San Diego church, Mission Valley Evening Rotary, Old Mission Rotary, Solana Beach Eco Rotary, SDSU Rotaract and Scout Troop 324 of Fletcher Hills packed high-nutrition, non-perishable meals for distribution to San Diegans who are served by the San Diego Food Bank. Funds for the effort were generated by Mission Valley Evening Rotary club’s trivia contest and a matching grant from Rotary District 5340, which covers San Diego and Imperial Counties and part of Riverside County. Parkinson’s Association holds fundraiser walk

The Parkinson’s Association of San Diego will hold its 24th annual Step by Step Walk at 9 a.m. April 11 at Liberty Station, 2640 Cushing Rd. to fight Parkinson’s disease and support local caregivers and families. Playwrights group hosts talk

Walk for Autism Awareness at civic center

The Woman’s Club of Vista will hold its 3rd Annual Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. April 12 at the Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive. The family-friendly event will include children’s activities, raffle prizes and photo booth along with vendors, including nonprofits helping community members with special needs.
