A police chase is causing traffic delays on the eastbound portion of the Bay Bridge on Wednesday evening, according to CBS News.
Three eastbound lanes on the Bay Bridge west of Treasure Island were closed about 7:30 p.m. after the driver of a car pursued by police exited the vehicle and jumped down the lower level of the bridge, according to Caltrans.
The U.S. Coast Guard and the San Francisco Fire Department were called to the scene as a precaution in case the driver fell into the water, CBS News said.
About 8 p.m., one eastbound lane was reopened.
There has been no word on the whether the driver has been located.
