Minnesota United will go on the road to play Sacramento Republic in the U.S. Open Cup round of 32 on April 14 or 15, the national tournament announced Thursday.
If the Loons win, they will play either San Jose Earthquakes or Phoenix Rising in the round of 16 on April 28 or 29.

In the four-team group, the Earthquakes have top hosting priority and Minnesota second, so MNUFC will only have a home game in St. Paul in the next round if Phoenix, a USL Championship side, pulls off the upset.
Details on the round of 32 match will be released later.
Last season, the Loons reached the semifinals of the Open Cup, conceding a goal in the 120th minute for a 2-1 loss to Austin FC at Allianz Field on Sept. 17. It was the second furthest the Loons had advanced in the national tournament, behind the 2019 final, a 2-1 loss to Atlanta United.
