Ostrich egg brunch: Provisional Kitchen is bringing back its ostrich egg brunch plate. The $135 meal features an ostrich egg, sourced from farms in Escondido and Santa Barbara, and cooked sunny-side-up. The dish is meant to serve three to four people and comes with bacon, pesto potatoes, sourdough bread and roasted red salsa. Beer collaboration: Reggae band Rebelution and Burgeon Beer Company are joining together for a beer collaboration. The Courage to Grow is an IPA brewed with organic hops and is being released today at all four Burgeon Beer locations. Some of the sales of the 6.2% ABV Courage to Grow craft beer will go towards the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) Foundation, according to Burgeon Beer. burgeonbeer.com
Happy hour deals: The cocktail bar and eatery Kingfisher is opening one hour earlier on Sundays now and extending the period of happy hour deals to three hours. Kingfisher’s golden hour specials include $7 draft beers, $12 glasses of wine, $14 cocktails and six seafood and appetizer items ranging from $18 to $24. Late-night menu: The Marine Room is extending its hours three days a week with a new late-night menu. New spring menu: Customers can now order from a new spring menu at The Haven Pizzeria in Kensington. Some of the new food items are a poblano shrimp pasta, pan-seared salmon with honey mustard and a burrata and beet salad. There are also six new cocktails such as a guava margarita and a martini with coconut rum, tequila and agave. Anniversary menu: To celebrate its 14th anniversary, The Lion’s Share is releasing a new cocktail menu and food selections. Some of the new beverage offerings include the Happy Camper, which mixes bourbon, rum, cacao and toasted marshmallows, and the Yellow Brick In The Wall, combining mezcal, lemon, pineapple, turmeric and cinnamon cream float. The Lion’s Share has also added a chicken and caviar plate and a pork and chicory salad with fennel, almond and potato crisps. 4 p.m. to midnight.
