BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A preliminary hearing began Monday for three men charged with murder in the shooting death of a Fresno State student at a park in Delano.

Kevin Gonzalez, Jonathan Gutierrez and Alexander Carrillo are charged in the shooting death of Nayeli Carrillo Gonzalez, 19. They were arrested in 2022.
Police say the defendants approached Nayeli Gonzalez and another person at Cesar Chavez Park on Jan. 2, 2020. They argued with the two, police said, then shot them and fled in a car.
Nayeli Gonzalez died at the scene. The other person survived.
