Nancy Waidtlow’s life was deeply rooted in the struggles for peace, social justice, human rights and gender equity for most of her 85 years on the planet. The last 15 years or so of her life were devoted to advocacy for the homeless, leading to her founding the Dakota EcoGarden in 2013. She was also a great lover of music and was active in the Fresno Folklore Society. She passed in December 2025.
Nancy’s legacy will be honored at an event open to all music lovers, peace and social justice activists, and homeless advocates on April 19. This celebration of life will be a potluck, so bring your favorite dish to share.
Nancy loved to sing and dance, so there will be lots of live music. If you knew Nancy and you would like to play or sing a couple of songs in her honor, we would love to have you there (signup sheet onsite).
What better way to honor Nancy’s legacy than to have a gathering of like-minded activists celebrating her life with food, music and stories of Nancy’s contributions to the causes we all care about so deeply?
Honoring Nancy Waidtlow’s Legacy
