Multi-vehicle crash in Sacramento leaves 1 dead, 5 injured

A person was killed in a crash in Sacramento on Saturday morning, according to police. The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded to Marconi Avenue and Marconi Circle after 11:30 a.m. after reports of a multi-vehicle collision. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, leaving one person dead on scene and five others injured. Those five people were taken to hospitals in the area and are expected to survive, police said. The cause of the deadly crash is still under investigation. The person who died will be identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. A KCRA 3 crew was at the scene of the crash, which is closed to traffic in the area.
