REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – The No. 19 Temple University men’s crew team earned its third victory over the nationally-ranked opponent this spring on Saturday, as the Owls defeated No. 24 UC San Diego on the first day of the California Classic.

Temple’s varsity eight crossed the finish line over five seconds in front of the Tritons. Later in the day, the Owls squared off against No. 2 California and ultimately came up short against the Bears.

The second and final day of the California Classic is set for Sunday, April 5, with Temple ready to race No. 15 Wisconsin at 12:00 p.m. ET.
