PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) — A woman has been found dead after fire crews put out flames at a home around 5 o’clock in the morning Saturday in Porterville, the fire department says.
Crews were called to Corona Drive and Park Street for reports of smoke and found the home engulfed in flames.
They began fighting the fire and searched the home.
Crews found a woman inside but she was declared dead at the scene.
The fire was put out with support from CAL FIRE and the Tulare County Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
