A person was shot Saturday morning near Parkmerced, south of San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria mall, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting shortly before noon at Cambon and Cardenas streets, just west of 19th Avenue.
They arrived to find a victim suffering from a gunshot wound, and transported them to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers searched the area but did not locate a suspect. No arrests have been made.
The Lakeshore area, which includes Parkmerced, saw a modest increase in crime last year, according to police data, with assaults up to 91 in 2025 from 69 in 2024. But overall crime in all categories in San Francisco was at historic lows last year.
