Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pascagoula). They blew past the Long Beach Bearcats 19-3 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the game before.
Braylen Knowles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn’t given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Niko Salvador, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That’s the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Owen Estroso was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
