SAN FRANCISCO: Lucas Lau (University)

A first-team All-Metro performer as a junior, Lau matched his numbers as a senior in leading the Red Devils to a 28-6 record, including a 10-0 mark while winning their 17th Bay Counties League title in 19 years, and fourth North Coast Section crown in five years. The 6-foot-2 senior guard averaged 21 points and 5.6 assists per game and repeated as the BCL West MVP. He finished with 1,778 points and 458 assists in his career.

PENINSULA/SOUTH BAY: Alex Osterloh (Sacred Heart Prep-Atherton)

The 6-3 senior guard pulled off one of the more improbable back-to-back performances in recent Bay Area history while leading the Gators to a first state championship. Osterloh, the team’s per-game leader in points (14.3), rebounds (5.8 ) and assists (3.9), made game-winning free throws with less than a second to play in both the NorCal and state finals, the latter a 47-45 championship victory over San Juan Hills-San Juan Capistrano at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. He combined for 36 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and eight steals in the two games.

CONTRA COSTA/TRI-VALLEY: Brandon Hahn (Granada-Livermore)

The 6-7 junior, who grew three inches in the offseason, made tremendous gains in his game and averaged 24.5 points, 14.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals for the No. 20 Matadors (21-9), who lost the North Coast Section Division 1 championship game to Bishop O’Dowd-Oakland, 79-76. In that game, Hahn had 36 points and 19 rebounds. He carried Granada throughout the season and delivered big postseason outings in wins over Dougherty Valley-San Ramon (23 points, 20 rebounds), Campolindo-Moraga (27, 19) and Monte Vista-Danville (36, 9).

EAST BAY: Naas Griffin (Bishop O’Dowd)

A high flyer with long shooting range, the 6-5 Griffin led the Dragons to their 20th NCS title (first since 2020) with four straight Division 1 playoff victories over Windsor (63-34), Acalanes-Lafayette (79-54), Liberty-Brentwood (80-73) and Granada (79-76). Griffin caught fire late in the season, averaging 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3.8 assists the last three weeks of the season. He shot 67% on two-pointers and 50% on threes. Overall he averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

NORTH BAY: Miller Morgan (San Marin-Novato)

The 6-3 senior guard led the Hornets to a historic state Division 5 championship, not only by scoring a game-high 25 points in the final at Golden 1 Center — an 89-64 Division 5 clinic against Sylmar — but by leading the team all season in scoring (14.5 points per game), rebounds (6.6 per game) and blocks. Miller was particularly effective down the stretch, scoring in double figures in each of the final 11 games, including 27 in a 54-47 NorCal semifinal win at Rancho Cotate-Rohnert Park. He had a high-game 34 points in an 82-80 home win over San Rafael on Feb. 3.   Â
