MARION, Ind. — Rafael Bonnet de Larbogne provided the clinching victory in a 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 singles battle against the No. 22-ranked player in the NAIA as the Warriors pulled an upset to close out the regular season with a team dual win over No. 13 Missouri Baptist.

Lewis-Clark State (9-8, 4-3) led after doubles action with wins in the second and third spots from the pairings of Bonnet de Larbogne/Nell Rollin and Gautam Balakrishnan/Leonel Gatti.

Giacomo Moreira and Pablo Herrera added two more back-and-forth three-set singles victories to LC State’s tally, while Rollin scored their lone straight-sets win with a 6-3, 6-3 showing in the No. 5 spot.

PULLMAN — Yura Nakagawa rallied to a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 clinching win as the Cougars completed a come-from-behind team dual victory against Gonzaga in West Coast Conference play at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.

WSU (12-6, 4-1) suffered injuries to two players and forfeited the No. 3 doubles set, giving the Bulldogs an early advantage after they won in the No. 1 spot to clinch the doubles point.

In singles, Washington State’s No. 1 Eva Alvarez Sande defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-2, with Maxine Murphy adding a 6-3, 6-2 performance in the No. 2 spot.

Vandal throwers make mark at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. — Idaho junior Gioele Tengattini took third place in the elite “Invite” flight of the men’s shot put with a distance of 55 feet even on Day 2 of the Stanford Invitational.

Fellow Vandal Evan Hartt posted a third-place finish in the “Collegiate” shot put field with a throw of 51-3 1/2.
