FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A woman was found dead in a canal after a crash on Monday morning in Fresno.
The crash is at McKinley Avenue and Fresno Street, near Highway 41.
The Fresno Police Department says officers were first called out to a crash around 1:57 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found one vehicle in a canal and another in the road, with a woman also found in the canal outside of the vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
McKinley Avenue is closed between Fresno and Orchard Streets.
The crash is still under investigation, and the street will be closed until around 9 AM.
