SAN FRANCISCO — BART’s Red and Green line services were suspended early Monday morning amid an equipment problem in the Transbay Tube that disrupted operations, transit officials said.

BART said the Red Line, which normally runs between Richmond and Millbrae, was shut down due to a track issue inside the Transbay Tube. Crews reportedly were working to repair the problem, though there was no estimate for when service would resume, as of 5:45 a.m.

There was also a disruption on the Green line service between Berryessa and Daly City. Passengers traveling from the San Francisco line were advised to take a Dublin/Pleasanton train and transfer at Bay Fair station to a Berryessa train. Those traveling from the Berryessa line could board a Richmond train and transfer at Bay Fair to reach Daly City.

Millbrae riders were told to take the shuttle train between San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae, then transfer to the Yellow Line, which runs between Antioch and SFO stations. Riders coming from Richmond were advised to take the Orange Line toward Berryessa station and transfer at MacArthur station to the Yellow Line.
