A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck eastern San Diego County on Monday, sending light shaking across parts of San Diego County and Baja California.
The earthquake struck at about 2:06 p.m. with an epicenter about 8 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border in Tecate and about 30 miles east of downtown San Diego.
Weak to light shaking was reported in Poway, La Mesa, Spring Valley, Alpine, and Campo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s Did You Feel It tool. Mexico residents in Tecate and Tijuana reported some light trembling as well, according to the collection of about 100 responses.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
