Driver hits bike from behind, police say

HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 53-year-old man from Highland Township was killed Sunday when he was struck by a Jeep.
The crash happened on Milford Road, near Rowe Road, just before 7:30 p.m., Oct. 26.
According to authorities, Todd Michael Luark was riding a bicycle when a Jeep driven by a Farmington Hills man crossed over the edge of the road and hit the bike from behind.
First responders found Luark in the driveway of a home and attempted to give aid, but he died at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
