A burn patient was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at a Los Angeles neighborhood home overnight.
The blaze was reported in the 400 block of 79th Street, near the 110 Freeway, around 1:30 a.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the fire began in a single unit within a row of bungalow-style homes located in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood.

One patient who suffered burn injuries was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, the fire department confirmed.

There was no immediate word on the identity of the injured person.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
