SAN ANTONIO – A pregnant woman and a teenager were injured in a Southwest Side road rage shooting Monday night that left three people in custody.
Police say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday near Old Pearsall Road and Southwest Military Drive near Loop 410.
Police said it involved two vehicles—a larger SUV and a small sedan—when someone in the SUV fired shotgun rounds into the sedan.
The driver of the sedan, an 18-year-old man, suffered injuries to his right arm consistent with birdshot. A 20-year-old woman in the car, who is about eight months pregnant, was also hit on her left arm. Both were taken to a hospital for evaluation and are expected to recover. Police said their injuries were minor and not life-threatening.
Officers detained three suspects in connection with the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
