COURTHOUSE PROJECT WAS ABOUT $514 MILLION. THE CITY OF WEST SACRAMENTO IS MARKING A SIGNIFICANT STEP IN FLOOD PROTECTION. TODAY, LEADERS UNVEILED A PUMP STATION. THE WEST SACRAMENTO AREA FLOOD CONTROL AGENCY AND THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS FINISHED A STRETCH OF LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS AS PART OF A LARGER PROJECT TO PROTECT WEST SACRAMENTO FROM FLOODING. FLOOD PROTECTION IS SOMETHING THAT I’VE DEVOTED MY LIFE TO, IN A SENSE, BECAUSE IT’S SOMETHING THAT IS SO CRITICAL FOR THE ENTIRE REGION. IT’S JUST NOT ONE AREA.
