A pedestrian was killed early Wednesday morning after being hit by a vehicle on Watt Avenue, authorities confirmed.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) North Sacramento office, the accident happened around 4:51 a.m. on Wednesday.
The vehicle was traveling northbound when it hit the adult male pedestrian in the lanes. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP officials said the driver remained at the scene following the crash. The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
